Alien Swarm is a game and Source SDK release from a group of talented designers at Valve who were hired from the Mod community. Available free of charge, the game thrusts players into an epic bug hunt featuring a unique blend of co-op play and squad-level tactics. With your friends, form a squad of four distinct IAF Marine classes.

The winners of the Polycount competition have been announced, and that means seventeen of the submissions will be getting packaged up with attributes added by Valve, and shipped in the coming weeks. Here are the winners:

Medal of Honor Beta

Supposedly if you own Battle Field Bad Company 2 on STEAM you also now have access to the Medal of Honor beta! Download it from your games library and jump into the fast and furious multiplayer action created by DICE.

Team Fortress 2 Engineer update now available

The Team Fortress 2 Engineer update is complete and its final addition has been revealed: The Gunslinger. It's a glove that gives the Engineer +25 extra health, a new combo attack and the ability to drop a mini-sentry, which Engies can build much faster than normal sentries, and for less metal. The update will automatically be applied the next time you boot up the game.

There are also three new maps to wage war on: Thunder Mountain, Hightower and Upward.
